Áureo is a small Naturopathic integrative mental health-focused clinic in Portland, Oregon. We work to provide and encourage holistic individualized mental health treatment for our patients, especially those seeking ketamine treatment and integration services. For providers, Áureo offers the fun and support of a small community, offering optional training, mentorship, and case sharing for contractors on a variety of mental health and holistic topics. Áureo offers the full suite of administrative support including cash and insurance billing, scheduling, marketing, and the freedom and flexibility to choose your own schedule. Our clinic is set up with our providers' needs in mind. We want our clinicians to be able to provide the highest quality care for patients and minimize unnecessary time outside of direct patient care. Our providers are asked to complete tasks related to direct care including finishing chart notes, calling in prescriptions, and answering patient messages. We offer the opportunity to work fully remote, hybrid, or in-person at our 2 small clinic offices in SE Portland.
Role Description
This is a contract, remote or hybrid on-site Naturopathic Doctor role located in Portland, OR at Áureo on SE Belmont and 60th in Portland.
We are looking for providers who are interested in learning about and providing patient care for one or more of the following areas of focus in their practice. Áureo offers ample opportunity for cultivation, support and mentorship for new skills and areas of interest for our providers.
Patient Evaluation & Diagnosis
Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients’ physical, mental, and emotional health.
Diagnose and develop individualized treatment plans for patients, focusing on both mental health and general well-being.
Perform mental health assessments for conditions such as depression, PTSD, anxiety, and treatment-resistant mental health disorders.
Utilize functional medicine techniques to address digestive health, hormone imbalances, and overall physical well-being.
Mental Health & Digestive Health
Use naturopathic and functional medicine approaches to support mental well-being, focusing on gut-brain connections.
Assess and treat digestive disorders such as IBS, SIBO, and leaky gut, using nutritional therapy, lifestyle modifications, and supplements.
Integrate mental and digestive health treatments, recognizing the interconnectedness of these systems.
Psychedelic Healing and Ketamine-Assisted Therapy
Collaborate with the clinical team to develop and administer safe and effective ketamine treatment protocols for mental health.
Monitor patient responses to ketamine treatments, adjusting protocols as needed for optimal outcomes.
Provide integrative mental health support, combining naturopathic methods with ketamine therapy for holistic care.
Provide integration and counseling support services for patients undergoing ketamine assisted treatment.
General Family Practice
Address acute and chronic health issues with naturopathic interventions, focusing on whole-person care.
Conduct routine physical exams, diagnose common conditions, and manage ongoing health concerns.
Provide lifestyle, nutritional, and botanical recommendations for disease prevention and optimal health.
IV Therapy & Nutrient Support
Administer and oversee IV nutrient therapy, including vitamin and mineral infusions to support immune function, energy levels, and overall health.
Provide Venofer (iron sucrose) infusions for patients with iron-deficiency anemia.
Evaluate patients’ nutrient needs, ensuring appropriate administration of IV therapies and monitoring for any side effects or complications.
Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT)
Diagnose and treat hormonal imbalances in both men and women, including thyroid, adrenal, and sex hormone disorders.
Develop and monitor bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT) plans to optimize hormonal health.
Track patients' progress and make adjustments to HRT protocols as necessary.
Microneedling, Skincare & Aesthetic Procedures
Perform microneedling procedures for skin rejuvenation, both with and without PRP (platelet-rich plasma).
Conduct aesthetic consultations and provide skin treatments tailored to individual needs.
Ensure adherence to safety protocols, and maintain an aseptic environment for all procedures.
Patient Education & Empowerment
Educate patients on naturopathic treatments and self-care strategies to enhance their health and recovery.
Provide guidance on dietary changes, exercise, stress management, and other lifestyle factors that support mental and physical health.
Collaboration & Team Integration
Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and mental health specialists, to provide comprehensive care.
Participate in case discussions and collaborate on multidisciplinary treatment plans to ensure holistic patient management.
Documentation & Compliance
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, treatment plans, and progress notes.
Adhere to clinic policies, medical regulations, and state licensing requirements.
Qualifications
Doctor of Naturopathy degree or equivalent
Licensure in good standing as a Naturopathic Doctor in the state of Oregon
Strong knowledge of natural remedies, herbal medicine, nutrition, and lifestyle counseling
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Experience in conducting physical exams, diagnostic testing, and creating treatment plans
